2021 was a great reading year for me. I set a tentative goal of 25 books and somehow ended up reading 38!
Keep reading for the highlights and lowlights of my year in books – as always, Goodreads have made it look pretty awesome with their ‘My Year in Books’ infographic.
I’m so proud of myself for making time to read this year. Someone I work with has read over 200 books this year (!), which I think I would have to take a sabbatical to the mountains to achieve! Even so, 38 books is the most I’ve read since 2016, so I’m still really happy.
I only had three ‘Did Not Finish’ books this year. It’s funny really, because I feel like Before the Coffee Gets Cold should be exactly the sort of book I’d be all over usually, but there was just something in the pace of the story that made me lose interest. I might give it another go in a year or two, especially as it is so short and set in Japan (two wins for me usually).
